Reggie Kray and Ashfield 95 FC


Reggie Kray was appointed president of Ashfield 95 football club in 1996, when club chairman Dave Howard wrote to Reggie whilst he was at Maidstone prison. Ashfield 95 FC were really struggling financially at the time, although we were top of the Mansfield and District league. After clinching promotion which earned us the chance to move to an higher standard of football, to do that we needed to invest money upgrading our ground etc, Reggie kindly gave us some much needed financial help and in return was made club president.

Reggie continued to take great interest in the club along with his wife Roberta......results, fixtures, tables, etc were sent to Reggie via Roberta on a regular basis. The club were very sadened when Reggie passed away recently and express their condolenses to his wife Roberta and all his family and friends. Ashfield 95 will always be grateful for Reggie's help when it was needed most.
